3-Layer Protection
Downtime PACS is built on three primary layers of protection:
-
The Connectivity Layer (DTP Connect) maintains data flow during ISP outages, fiber cuts, and network instability through multi-path routing with satellite, cellular, and automatic failover.
-
The Facility Infrastructure Layer (Failsafe PACS) ensures imaging continues even if the hospital’s PACS, interfaces, or internal network go down, using a local Failsafe Edge PACS with direct modality routing and on-site image storage.
-
The Vendor / Radiology Layer (Failsafe PACS) protects against cloud and platform disruptions by enabling continued reading and reporting through secure web-based access and backup options.
Together, these three layers isolate failures and deliver true imaging continuity so radiologists can keep reading and patient care is not interrupted.

Downtime PACS Overview
Downtime PACS (DTP) is a fully managed imaging continuity platform that keeps radiology running during ransomware attacks, PACS failures, and network outages. It operates independently of hospital systems, capturing studies directly from modalities, storing them locally, and enabling secure viewing even when primary PACS, networks, or EMRs are down.
Downtime PACS serves hospitals, radiology groups, imaging centers, emergency response teams, rural clinics, military and VA facilities, and government organizations.
