How DTP Works

From Modality to Report in Minutes—Even Offline

Captured

— direct from modality, even during full network loss

Stored

— locally archived with RAID redundancy

Viewable

— via web-based viewer or included Linux laptop

Transferable

— to cloud PACS or reading group when available

Works even during:
  • PACS/RIS failures

  • Internet or VPN outages

  • Cybersecurity lockdowns

  • Natural disasters

  • Generator-only operations

Enterprise-Grade Local PACS Server

  • Direct Modality Ingest: Accepts DICOM images directly from CT, X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound—no HL7 feeds or PACS hooks needed.

  • Redundant Storage: Dual RAID 1 drives for OS and data, hot swappable with support for hot and cold spares.

  • Flight-Ready Portable Option: Shock-mounted chassis sized for air transport.

  • Permanent Rack/Shelf Option: 2U/3U rack-mountable system with redundant power and front access bays.

Why it matters: Enables immediate imaging access with no hospital integration delays and full resilience under disaster conditions.

Radiologist & Clinician Toolset

  • Zero Footprint HTML5 Viewer: Full-fidelity diagnostics via browser—FDA-cleared.

  • Reporting Interface: Structured templates, macros, on-the-fly edits.

  • Back-to-Facility Satellite Downlink: Delivers reports even if the internet is out.

  • Linux-Based Field Laptop: Offline-ready access to images and reports.

Why it matters: Enables uninterrupted clinical workflows from any location, even during a crisis.

AI Workflow Optimization

  • Urgency-Aware Prioritization: (Pending feature) AI will detect high-acuity cases like stroke and trauma and prioritize them for faster transmission and reading.

  • Predictive Bandwidth Management: Adapts compression and routing dynamically based on network conditions.

  • Flexible PACS Reintegration: By default, facilities can download exams directly. Upon request or during extended outages, Downtime PACS can ship an encrypted external device containing studies, which can then be securely pushed into the main PACS by the facility. Automatic reintegration is possible but disabled by default due to security risks of bridging isolated systems.

Why it matters: Keeps networks secure, maintains flexible recovery workflows, and ensures mission-critical imaging remains accessible regardless of PACS or hospital network status. Ensures critical cases are prioritized, keeps workflows fast and responsive, and allows seamless return to normal PACS when systems are restored.

Multi-Layered Connectivity

  • Primary – Starlink Satellite: Global, high-bandwidth internet for outages and remote use.

  • Secondary – Multi-Carrier 5G/LTE (up to 4 SIMs): Cellular redundancy and failover.

  • Tertiary – Independent Local ISP: Wired network separate from hospital network.

  • AI Monitoring & Load Balancing: Optimizes routing across all layers in real time, ensuring smooth uploads and minimal latency.

Why it matters: Triple redundancy and automated optimization keep imaging online under any network conditions.

Cloud-Based PACS with Enterprise Security

  • Hosted on AWS: Multi-region, encrypted cloud storage.

  • Zero Trust Security: SSO, 2FA, RBAC, audit trails.

  • Worldwide Viewer Access: Browser-based, HIPAA/GDPR-compliant image and report access.

  • Built-In VPN Grade Encryption: AES 256 tunnels spin up automatically.

Why it matters: High availability, zero-setup access, and strong data protection without IT friction.
